Who would have guessed? A county called Buncombe is home to a number of quirky, whimsical short term dwellings that are on the market for $20 million.
Earth & Sky Dwellings includes the Alchemy, a tent-like house with a 12-foot indoor, spiral slide; Dragons Knoll, a subterranean home with circular doors; and The Sanctuary, a treehouse and the first rental to open on site in Woodfin, in western North Carolina.
The more than 16-acre property currently houses seven completed structures, including more treehouses as well as a castle-like home called Wizards Hollow. Each has a private fire pit and can sleep up to four people. There are 13 additional structures under construction, ranging from a spaceship-inspired dwelling to a six-unit village with a pavilion that doubles as a wedding venue. Those units are slated for completion in June.
The overnight rate runs between $380 and $430 per night. It is listed by Tyler Coon of Savvy STR Agents.
