Arosa Looking to Build Ft. Lauderdale’s Tallest Building

Arosa Developers is looking to build Fort Lauderdale’s tallest building. A town planning board will soon vote on the company’s plans for a 600-foot-tall, 54-story building at 314 NE 3rd Street.

Designed by Fort Lauderdale-based FSMY Architects & Planners, the project includes 607 one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments, 3,727 square feet of commercial space, 659 parking spaces, and a rooftop bar. It is slated to be built on a 27,591-square-foot parking lot located between the 30-story The Rise at Flagler Village and Nola Lofts.

To obtain additional density, the developer will pay $10,000 per unit into the city’s affordable housing trust fund.

The S. Florida Business Journal reports that the 499-foot-tall 100 Las Olas condo holds the title of Fort Lauderdale’s tallest building, although various other developers have presented plans for even taller structures. Kushner Companies and AIMCO obtained the building rights for a pair of towers up to 572 feet tall at 200 and 300 W. Broward Boulevard.
