The S. Florida Business Journal reports Plantation City Center will span 13.7 acres at 8601 W. Sunrise Blvd., replacing a 130,550-square-foot office building that previously served as an AT&T training center (photo). The town’s city council okayed the plan, which calls for 512 residential units, 24,970 square feet of commercial space and 833 parking spaces. The project would total 860,283 square feet, with an eight-story apartment building, five three-story multifamily buildings, two stand-alone retail buildings, and a row of two-story townhouses.
The developers would include 51 units of workforce housing for people making up to 120% of the area’s median income.
Plantation City Center would have 23,456 square feet of lobby/interior amenities. The outdoor amenities would include two pools, a pickleball court and a playground.
Related and BH Group acquired the property for $13 million in 2023.
Miami-based Arquitectonica designed the project.
