Hotel investor London + Regional Properties is seeking permitting for a 10-acre site at 5800 Blue Lagoon Drive, just south of Miami International Airport. The property currently has the 281-room Pullman Miami Airport, a 13-story hotel that was built in 1986. The company acquired the property for $48.65 million in 2019.
Under the proposal, the developer would build two eight-story apartment buildings on the parking lot, each with 300 units. It would also construct three parking garages, one for each building. 1,020 spaces would be dedicated to the apartments and another 324 for the hotel. The parking garage near the hotel would include 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
There would be two pools and separate clubhouses of 6,200 and 4,900 square feet for the apartment buildings.
The apartments would range from 570 to 1,718 square feet. There would be 72 studio apartments, 322 one-bedroom units, 192 two-bedroom units, and 14 three-bedroom units.
