North Development, a partnership between Oak Capital and Edificia, has filed plans for a 43-story hotel in Miami’s Brickell Financial District. The .6-acre property currently has a 2,160-square-foot office building and five- and eight-unit apartment buildings, which would be demolished to make way for the project.
The 43-story House of Wellness would feature 823 lodging units and 339 parking spaces. The application shows there would be a lobby on the first floor, parking on floors two through nine, amenities on the 10th floor, hotel rooms on floors 11 through 42 and the pool/amenity deck on the top floor.
Miami-based Studio McG Architecture designed the project.
The development team has two other projects slated for Brickell: the 579-unit Domus Brickell Center short-term rental condo, which launched sales in May, and the 172-unit Domus Brickell Park short-term rental condo, which broke ground in March.
