A developer duo made up of Glokal Group and Blue Road has started work on Dolce by Wyndham Miami, a 90-key hotel. The $40 million project will rise five stories at 1745 James Ave. The site was previously home to the 36-unit Sanctuary South Beach Condos, but the developer purchased the condos for $14.41 million in 2019 and demolished the building.
Local firms Buslam, the general contractor, and Revuelta Architecture are working on the project. The S. Florida Business Journal reports that in June, Amerant Bank provided the developers with a $21.5 million construction loan.
The Dolce by Wyndham Miami will include a restaurant and a rooftop pool. Guests will have access to the beach and the Miami Beach Convention Center, which is a hub for global and corporate events. Guests can shop, explore art galleries, and experience the culture of South Beach.
