Former Miami Herald HQ Sells for $30M

The Miami Herald’s former headquarters was sold for $29.9 million. A partnership of Parmenter Realty Partners, Cudlob Capital and Prime Finance sold the 158,268-square-foot building at 3511 N.W. 91st Ave. to Panattoni Development Co.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Wayne Ramoski, Mark Gilbert and Miguel Alcivar represented the seller in the deal.

The S. Florida Business Journal reports the property last traded for $27.25 million in 2021 and is slated to be redeveloped into a spec industrial project. The Learning World Academy is the main tenant in the building now. The building has a full backup generator and is built to withstand a Category 5 hurricane.

The two-story office building in Doral was developed in 1997. It was previously the U.S. Southern Command headquarters. The Miami Herald and El Neuvo Herald moved there in 2013, but left the office during the Covid-19 pandemic as the staff shifted to remote work.
