Citadel Releases Details of New $1B Miami HQ

What does a billion dollars look like? Billionaire Ken Griffin recently released detailed renderings of his company’s new headquarters, a 54-story building that will be the largest single office building in South Florida.

Citadel would move its headquarters into the building, but there would be space for other office tenants, as well. The building is expected to start taking shape next year. When completed, it will be the largest office building, by space, in South Florida.

The 1.71 million-square-foot tower would be located on 2.5 acres at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive. It would feature 1.29 million square feet of office space; 413,476 square feet of hotel space with 212 rooms, a health spa, a fitness club, a ballroom and a conference/event space; 23,590 square feet of restaurant/retail space; and 50 “executive” parking spaces.

Citadel’s founder and chief executive moved the company’s base from Chicago to Miami two years ago.
