Odd Burger, the Canadian vegan quick-serve chain, has signed with StarMatt Corporation to develop 40 locations in Florida over the next eight years. The deal follows Odd Burger’s first agreement, signed last year to bring 20 locations to Washington state. The company currently has 16 locations in Canada.
Odd Burger’s menu includes a wide variety of vegan burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast items, desserts and more.
Odd Burger’s growth strategy in the US relies on a territory development approach. The company sells franchise development rights state by state to area representatives who understand local market dynamics.
Representatives are responsible for securing franchise partners, aiding with site selection, overseeing construction and providing ongoing support to franchisees.
StarMatt is a local real estate and franchise development company led by Prashant Dalal and Vishal Valsadia. Dalal is a co-founder and Odd Burger’s area representative for Ontario. Valsadia, president of Matti Homes, has a background in real estate and commercial property development.
