Publix Super Markets paid $58.5 million for the Ramblewood Square Shopping Center in Coral Springs. Publix, the center’s anchor tenant, has a habit of buying out the centers it leases in. The company has made similar moves in Broward County and Jacksonville.
Apollo Global Management sold the 157,914-square-foot retail center at 1201 to 1327 N. University Drive to Publix for $370 per square foot. The Ramblewood Square last traded for $21 million in 2019.
The Publix store was demolished in 2022 and rebuilt with more space and features. The shopping center, which is located just north of the Coral Square Mall, was built in 1990 on the 15.1-acre site.
Tenants in Ramblewood Square include Men’s Warehouse, Aspen Dental, Ross Dress for Less, T-Mobile, Five Below, the UPS Store, and Wings Plus.
