Colliers, on behalf of the City of Margate, Florida, and the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency, is seeking qualified real estate developers and investors to enter into a long-term ground lease for up to fifty acres of developable land for the construction of Margate’s future “downtown,” a large-scale, mixed-use project located on the 441 corridor in the heart of Margate.
The winning applicant will replace vacant land and government buildings with what the town hopes will be a vibrant downtown community. On Collier’s website outlining the bid process, the properties are zoned for 980 residential units, 500 hotel rooms, 1.28 million square feet of retail, 861,331 square feet of office, and 309,659 square feet of industrial. Bids are due by August 13, 2024.
Colliers Brooke Mosier, Ken Krasnow, Mark Rubin and Bastian Schauer are assisting Margate with the process.
