CBRE has been hired by the City of Riviera Beach to help with the redevelopment of three sites totaling 80 acres. The intent is to replace outdated facilities and invest in the future of the city.
In January, CBRE and the City hosted a developer and local participant workshop to discuss how to optimize existing City-owned parcels and replace aging structures by developing a mix of residential, commercial, and retail space.
City Manager Jonathan Evans added, “We are looking for partners with the vision to reshape these properties by considering a mix of civic, government, sports, and commercial mix of uses.”
Besides the call for commercial development, the voters of the city passed an initiative to commit $20 million in penny sales tax to a new City Hall and another $45 million in bond revenue for new sports, recreation and wellness uses.
Proposals must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. EST on June 28, 2024.
