Hotel/Apartment Combo Project Eyed by Miami Developer

A Miami city planning board will vote later this month on plans for a proposed 28-story mixed-use tower in the Edgewater neighborhood, the second phase of the recently completed Metro Edgewater apartments.

The property is a vacant site of 0.73 acres at 3055 N.W. Fourth Ave. It’s next to a 32-story tower with 279 apartments that was completed as the first phase in 2023.

Metro 2 at Edgewater would feature 103 apartments and 60 extended-stay hotel rooms, 9,745 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor, and 220 parking spaces. The apartments and the hotel would have lobbies on the ground floor. The two would have separate amenities. The apartments would range from 748 to 1,374 square feet, and the hotel rooms would range from 578 to 1,050 square feet.

Carlos Ortiz is the developer. Coral Gables-based Burgos Lanza & Associates designed the project.
