A Miami city review board will soon hear plans from Urban Network Capital Group (UNCG) and Vertical Development on a proposed condo hotel. A condo hotel is a condominium project operated as a hotel with a registration desk, cleaning service and more.
The city’s Urban Development Review Board will consider plans for a condo hotel next month on the 19,292-square-foot site between the Miami Design District and Edgewater. The property currently has four small apartment buildings.
The S. Florida Business Journal reports the joint venture purchased the property for $13.5 million in September.
Under their proposal, the hotel would total 175,557 square feet in 27 stories, with 180 rooms, 7,290 square feet of retail. There would be a pool deck with amenities and a lobby on the fifth floor, and another pool deck on the roof with a view of Biscayne Bay towards Miami Beach. The hotel rooms would range from 393 to 2,127 square feet.
Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture designed the project.
