One of Marriott’s more contemporary brands is open for travelers at Fort Lauderdale Airport. Aloft by Marriott offers 138 guest rooms with five room types that range from 294 to 475 square feet. Fort Lauderdale-based Adache Group Architects designed the 100,000-square-foot property connected to a 99-space surface-level parking lot. Greenpark Management developed the project with the help of a $31 million construction loan from Bank of America.
Hotel amenities include a meeting room and business center, a cabana-equipped rooftop pool deck, a 540-square-foot pool, a firepit, a 800-square-foot fitness studio, a yoga terrace, a gaming area and laundry facilities. The 5,000-square-foot lobby includes a bar, an outdoor terrace and a grab-and-go branded breakfast bar.
Fort Lauderdale receives more than 13 million visitors each year.
Marriott brands Aloft Hotels as an accommodation that caters “to a tech-savvy, music-loving crowd.” The company operates more than 200 Aloft locations in 29 countries and territories.
